Job Description

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Amazon, extracting maximum value from services like Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) and Amazon Marketing Services (AMS).
  • Maximize 1P / 3P potential: Oversee our overall 1P/ 3P strategy, to ensure we maximise our full growth potential sustainably
  • Content & SEO Optimisation: Collaborate with marketing teams and agencies to enhance product listings, improve search rankings, and ensure best-in-class content, driving organic visibility and conversion.
  • Promotional & Advertising Strategies: Lead the planning and execution of PPC advertising campaigns, promotional events, and merchandising strategies to boost sales and improve ROI.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, market share, and ROI, providing actionable insights and regular reporting to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Global, Category, Supply Chain, and Brand teams to align strategies, optimise the product portfolio, and ensure successful product launches.
  • P&L Management: Manage the customer P&L with accountability for revenue, spend, and profitability targets.
  • E-commerce Strategy Execution: Implement global e-commerce strategies, including assortment, pricing, and promotional plans, while considering local market specifics.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Turn sales plans into accurate forecasts in collaboration with business planning teams, ensuring alignment with supply chain and inventory strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce account management, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods sector.
  • Proven track record of success in managing Amazon and other marketplace accounts, with strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
  • Expertise in SEO strategies, PPC advertising, and content optimisation to drive visibility, sales, and ROI.
  • Strong P&L management experience, including forecasting, budgeting, and trade spend management.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration across marketing, supply chain, and business planning to deliver integrated commercial plans.

Over the next 5 years, online sales are forecasted to become the largest contributor of growth to both the category and to JDE. At JDE we are clear on how we unlock this opportunity and as result we are seeking an experienced Amazon Account Lead to drive profitable sales growth, manage day-to-day operations, and optimise our brand’s performance on Amazon 1P as well as managing our 3P account team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans to maximise sales, profitability, and brand visibility. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to align e-commerce strategies, improve content and SEO, and leverage Amazon’s services to drive a sustainable growth plan.
